From Here 2 Timbuktu Ltd is a UK registered company operating trans-Saharan safaris and small group and tailor made trips in Africa and the Caribbean.

Journeys and trips are organised and lead by me, Guy Lankester, in partnership with local operators, drivers, cooks and guides sourced from destination communities.

Our trips are to far and distant places along the 'road less travelled'. We follow the spirit of the old Chinese proverb: "the journey is the reward". We aim to give our clients the spirit of independent travel in an organised context, whilst giving something back to the remote communities which host us.

The trips are inspired by independent journeys that I have made to the Sahara and across West Africa since 2004.

Clients are protected by a customer protection scheme called topps.

From Here 2 Timbuktu has specialised tour operator’s public liability insurance through Tour Indemnity - www.tourindemnity.co.uk - which covers all regions in which we operate.
