The Mararthon D’Afrique has been going for 3 years. This tour gives you the buzz of Dakar, the history of Saint Louis, the marathon and the Bou El Mogdad cruise for 6 days from the Atlantic into the Sahara desert.

Dec 1 Arrive Dakar, Senegal’s buzzing capital city.
Great food, live music, beaches and Islands.
Dec 2 Dakar to Saint Louis, the former capital of French West Africa, an island at the mouth of the Senegal River
Dec 3 Tour St Louis
Dec 4 La Langue de Barbarie, for birds, beach and BBQ)
Dec 5 Marathon D’Afrique
Dec 6-11 Le Bou el Mogdad - 6 days of cruise up the Senegal river into the desert, stopping off each day at Tukolor, Maure and Wolof villages, old French forts and the world’s third most important breeding waterlands for migrating birds.
Dec 12, transfer to Dakar.
Dec 13 Depart Dakar.
