                                   the journey.

I am looking for 4-5 people to join me on a journey from here to Timbuktu- literally!

A 4x4 will carry us from the UK across Europe to Morocco and into Algeria, where we will pick up an Algerian guide and another vehicle and travel across the Sahara to the border with Mali. There we will be met by my Malian Tuareg guide and driver and swap vehicles. We will continue with them to explore the Sahara of northern Mali spending time in the Aguelhoc community.

20 December 2008 to 2 January 2009

There will then be an option to join the exclusive From Here 2 Aguelhoc Xmas party tour below where for 2 days over Christmas we will party Tuareg style with a From Here 2 Timbuktu sponsored fête. And we finish with an awesome 4 day camel trek in the Adrar des Iforas mountains over New Year which will truly blow your mind if it hasn’t been blown already! Miss this experience in your life if you dare!

Price €2500 (€400 discount off tour price)

   from here 2 esu                                                          cameroon

                                    gorillas, chimps, the beach...

and the kingdom at the end of the road

Cameroon’s tourism slogan is “All of Africa in one country” and there really is something for everyone. From Mount Cameroon and the equatorial forest coast with its lovely beaches in the south, through ancient highland Fongoms, to savanna, sahel and finally desert up at Lake Chad in the north. Diversity of land is matched by a cacophony of cultures, with over 200 different languages.

I have a number of elements which I can assemble according to your time and pocket. My main focus is the primate conservation projects  and a unique eco-tour to Esu, a remote and ancient kingdom in the highlands.

Elements include: wild gorilla country treks with conservationists, equatorial forest safaris, stunning beaches, birding safaris, climbing Mount Cameroon, Esu - the kingdom at the end of the road, and ‘tribal safaris to the north.
