Calling all nomadic wanderers!
Trust locally, travel safely,
Your camel will find your Timbuktu!
We are From Here 2 Timbuktu, travelers and nomads, friends on the ground, seeking and offering real journeys and guiding stars to mythic lands along roads we call home.
We follow the principle, born out of experience, that if you trust to the local perspective you are served with hospitality and you can dare to go where there is no path, the world will be your camel.
Over the past decade From Here 2 Timbuktu has established itself as the go-to travel service for Saharan and West African overland, music festival and adventure trips. All journeys have been travelled and designed by Guy Lankester.
For our next decade we intend to nomad eastwards to cover more of North Africa, Arabia and Persia with our brand of local travel. Our mission is to encourage and empower you to travel the road less travelled, for the traveler sows peace and understanding in a way no other can. In this vein, we are currently promoting trips to Iran.
We invite you on a journey along roads less travelled from here to Timbuktu.
