Your trip begins in Limbe, a small, friendly fishing town with beautiful beaches in south west Cameroon.
Relaxing in Limbe with an optional not so relaxing trek up Mt Cameroon kicks off a journey to one of the least explored yet longest inhabited regions of the world - the Congo Basin.

The Dzanga Sangha Reserve, one of Africa’s hidden and forgotten jewels, is part of a tri-national reserve between Congo, Central African Republic and Cameroon.
Dzanga Sangha is the perfect place to watch forest wildlife because of the large profusion of “bai”, or forest clearings, where the animals come out of the trees to take in the mineral salts. Elephant, buffalo, bonobos and chimps, antelope and all manner of birdlife seek out these clearings so you are rarely disappointed!
With WWF conservationists and Ba’Aka (Pygmy) trackers you will have a once in a lifetime experience. Sitting meters from a silverback and his family is a heart beating, awe inspiring, humbling moment. If the silverback charges you submit by falling into a ball. DONT RUN!

Then there’s Dzanga Bai where you could see up to 100 elephant soaking up the salts. Be careful as you head through the forest to the hide, you may bump into an elephant making its way to the bai. If you do, don’t fall to a ball - RUN!

Ba’Aka pygmy village experience
On top of the incredible wildlife the forest also throws up fascinating culture. The Ba’Aka pygmies have lived in the forest since way before man even thought of leaving Africa for other climes. You will stay in a Ba’Aka village, witness Ba’Aka hunting dances at night and go net hunting with them in the morning.
